ABOUT CLARE
I qualified in Executive Coaching at Henley Business School, am certified in psychometric profiling (MBTI) and accredited by the Association for Coaching. I also hold a certificate in team coaching from The Team Coaching Studio.
Having started my career as a political lobbyist, I then moved into the Not for Profit sector, ultimately sitting on the senior leadership teams of national, household-name charities, where I had responsibility for External Affairs, Marketing and Communications.
This experience of the political decision-making process gave me a deep understanding of how decision-making works in highly complex environments.
It was while I was sitting on senior leadership teams, and then in turn on the Board of Trustees of a national charity, that I became increasingly interested in understanding what drives performance at a senior level. Specifically, how potential is realised and how individuals respond differently to pressure and challenges. During an interim Senior Leadership Role in a national organisation, where I wasn’t a subject matter expert, I realised I was unconsciously drawing on a coaching style of leadership.
Inspired by how powerful this approach was I trained as an Executive Coach and now support leaders to be the leaders they aspire to be. I’ve supported emerging and current leaders in listed companies, not for profits, the armed forces, SMEs and academia.
As an accredited member of the Association for Coaching I abide by its code of ethics.
“Clare has immediate credibility. She brings a wealth of relevant corporate experience, but also brings impressive skill as a coach and mentor. She was able to quickly create the space I needed to explore a complex problem and support me in thinking it through to appreciate the options I have.”
